Have you ever had one of those super productive days that just makes you feel great about life? For me, last Saturday was that day! Here’s how the day played out:
Rolled out of bed around 10 am. Who said the early bird gets the worm? I never liked worms anyway.
To Do #1: Tackle My “Bill Drawer”
I have a little file box where I put all of my bills. That box has been full for the last 14 months or so which has led me to stuffing all of my bills in a drawer. With that drawer overflowing, I decided it was time to get a handle on things. After sorting through everything I ended up with a “Trash” pile and an equally large “Shred” pile.
Task #2 and #3: Buy a Shredder and . . . Shred
This is the little shredder that could. Even though at times it overheated and thought it couldn’t. In the end, it made it through and left me with a nice garbage bag full of confetti. All I’m saying is be nice to me or you may end up picking confetti out from under the seat of your car for the next 5-7 years.
Task #4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, and 21: Errands Galore
I had a bunch of errands to run and I won’t bore you with all the details, but I will tell you that 1) I got a ton done, and 2) putting your entire grocery list on your “To Do” list leads to an increased sense of accomplishment because you get to cross off stuff like crazy!
Task #22: Build X’s and Organize Garage
When I moved into my house the builders left me a large carpet remnant. I’ve left it rolled up in my garage and piled tons of wood scraps on it and in front of it. In the winter the snow melts off my car and puddles on the carpet and wood pile. So, with a little bit of skill, I built some stands and raised everything off the ground just in time for this week’s snow storm. Ta da!
Task #23: Lose the “To Do” List
Ok, that wasn’t actually on the list, but I really did lose it. I’m actually pretty mad about it too. Now I can’t prove all that I accomplished. But trust me, I got it done!
